Various Air Conditioning Systems
Modern day Air Conditioning systems now provide heating as well as cooling and can be a very cost effective alternative to traditional heating methods. There are many different types of Air Conditioning Systems, which are all designed for different purposes. We can fit all types of Direct Expansion (DX) systems, ranging from a Single Split Systems for smaller installations to a full 3 pipe VRF for larger commercial and industrial projects.
There are a variety of internal units which can be used, depending on the requirements of the specific project. These are as follows:-
Wall Units - These are the most common and cheapest form of internal conditioning. They are fitted directly onto the wall at high level.
Floor/Ceiling Mount Units
These units can either be located on the wall at floor level (similar to a conventional radiator), or hung under the ceiling. They can normally provide more power than a wall unit if required, and can be ceiling mounted if there is not a suspended ceiling present.
These units are most commonly used in offices and shops where suspended ceilings are normally fitted. They can come in either 4 way or 2 way form and would be located in the middle of the area which requires the cooling or heating.
These units are hidden away from view and would be located above a suspended ceiling, or hidden in a space behind a wall etc. The units supply the chilled or heated air via a ductwork system, the only visible part would be the grilles used to disperse the air.
The external units are actually Air Source Heat Pumps, and would be specific to the size of the installation required.
